You may have noticed a number of films that share a particular look of desaturated colors and high contrast. A short list of films affecting this look includes: Seven, Minority Report, Fight Club, Saving Private Ryan, Lost Souls, Panic Room, Pitch Black, The Grifters, Shipping News, and Kansas City. All these films use a post-production technique called the skip-bleach process to achieve a visual tone that helps the audience feel the mood of the story.
