Scheduling Processes

Using the rctladm command, you won’t see any resource controls that relate to process scheduling. As with memory caps, scheduling is an aspect of system control that manages the environment in which processes operate. Although current process state and behavior have some influence on how it is scheduled, these forms (other than tweaking a process’s priority) are indirect. It’s the system’s job to moderate the needs of all user processes and make sure every process gets time to execute.
