This chapter gives you an overview about the OMG Certified Expert in Business Process Management (OCEB) certification program. It discusses the goals of certifications in general and lists certification programs similar to OCEB.
The chapter aims to take an objective look at the pros and cons of certifications. It also explores the OCEB certification and its contents of the Object Management Group (OMG). The arguments in favor and against certifications are representative for certificates with automated tests without any initial requirements.
