I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Nawet najlepszy projektant baz danych spędził bezsenną noc, martwiąc się o błędy czające się w bazie danych. Niepoprawne dane to niemiły kłopot — są umieszczane w bazie danych, tkwią w niej w ukryciu miesiącami i pojawiają się w momencie odkrycia, że faktura została wysłana do klienta „Puste Puste” albo paczkę orzeszków sprzedano za –40 zł.
Najlepszym sposobem uniknięcia tego typu problemów jest zapobieżenie wprowadzaniu złych danych do bazy. Innymi słowy, należy ustawić reguły sprawdzania poprawności (walidacji) odrzucające podejrzane wartości już w momencie ich wprowadzania. Kiedy niepoprawne dane znajdą się już w bazie danych, trudniej je znaleźć niż igłę w stogu siana.
