Acknowledgements

First of all, I’d like to tip my hat to all the authors who wrote previous Office for Mac Missing Manuals. That club includes Jim Elferdink who wrote the previous book and Nan Barber who wrote the first. Nan is also the excellent editor of this book and most of my others. Thanks to Nellie McKesson for putting all the pieces together to create this book. My gratitude also goes out to Stacie Arellano for cleaning up my errors and Julie Hawks for creating an index to help you zero in on the answers to your questions. A big thanks to the technical reviewers who asked all the right questions while I was writing. As always, thanks and love to my wife Joyce, my proofreader, partner and fellow adventurer in life.

—Chris Grover

The Missing Manual Series

Missing Manuals are witty, superbly written guides to computer products that don’t come with printed manuals (which is just about all of them). Each book features a handcrafted index; cross-references to specific pages (not just chapters); and Rep-Kover, a detached-spine binding that lets the book lie perfectly flat without the assistance of weights or cinder blocks.
