Creating a Macro

The macro-related commands are in the Developers tab’s Code group. Word and Excel don’t provide exactly the same macro-related commands; however, some commands are common to both. For example, to record a new macro in Word or Excel, you use the Record Macro command. Other macro-related commands common to Word and Excel are as follows:

• Visual Basic: This command opens the Visual Basic editor. The editor has its own toolbar that you can use to create VBA modules and subroutines from scratch.
