Creating a Macro

The macro-related commands are in the Developers tab’s Code group. Word and Excel don’t provide exactly the same macro-related commands; however, some commands are common to both. For example, to record a new macro in Word or Excel, you use the Record Macro command. Other macro-related commands common to Word and Excel are as follows:

Visual Basic: This command opens the Visual Basic editor. The editor has its own toolbar that you can use to create VBA modules and subroutines from scratch.

Macros: This command opens the Macros dialog box. It enables you to view the list of macros. Commands are available for editing, deleting, and running macros in the list. The Macros dialog box also provides access to the Organizer, which ...
