Creating Headers and Footers

In business documents such as reports, manuals, and even some correspondences, text or even images (such as a company logo) are repeated at the top and/or bottom of each document page. And I’m probably safe in assuming that pretty much everyone has at some point had to create a multipage document that required page numbering on each page.

Headers and footers give you a way to include repeating information on each page of a document, such as a document title, the current date, or the page number. Headers and footers can also contain pictures, design elements, or even clip art. You can format text in a header or footer using the same formatting tools that you use for your text in the document itself.
