Attaching Files and Items to a Message

You can attach files and Outlook items to your email messages. You can send Word documents, Excel workbooks, a family photo, or any other file you want, including a collection of files in various archive formats, such as ZIP (which you can create using the Windows 8 File Explorer). You can also send Outlook items, such as business cards of your contacts. Commands for attaching files and Outlook items are available on the Message tab and the Insert tab of the message window’s Ribbon. If you are replying to a message or forwarding a message from within the Reading pane, the Compose Tools Message tab provides the Include group, which houses both the Attach File and Attach Item commands.
