Using the Outlook Journal

You can use the Outlook Journal to track your work, communications, and meetings. The Journal is really designed to keep track of “billable hours,” so you can track various activities such as telephone calls or meetings and then determine the time that you spent on a particular activity or task.

You can also include information in the Journal that is related to your use of other Office applications, including Excel PowerPoint and Word. For example, you might want to keep track of how long it takes you to complete an Excel worksheet that is part of a project you are doing for a client. So the Journal entry enables you to determine the amount of time you put into that part of the project.
