Planning Your Publication

Although Publisher makes it easy to create a variety of publication types, you should still spend some time planning a new publication before you actually assemble it in Publisher. If you are poised to create a business card, newsletter, or flyer, you have already established that you have a need for a particular publication type. However, you should also look at the core purpose of the publication and determine how to approach the overall look, feel, and theme of the publication. For example, a newsletter for your book club might have a colorful, friendly look and light, playful content.
