2.4. Building a Custom List
Even though SharePoint provides a variety of lists out of the box, you may have a requirement that none of them completely satisfies. If one of the templates comes close to meeting your needs, you may want to add a few additional columns, modify a few, or even delete a few to build exactly what you want. However, if your requirements differ greatly from any of the available templates you saw in the first part of this chapter, then creating a custom list can usually satisfy your specific needs.
