What is a dashboard? Within SharePoint, you can define a dashboard as any web page that displays business information. Often dashboards use graphics to display data, but they don't have to include graphics. What they do have to do is show trends that can help identify problems, opportunities, or decision points. Some people might refer to this ability as an at-a-glance health check for a business of its key indicators. But the fact is you can use dashboards for tracking project progress, employee satisfaction, customer purchasing trends, and many more things. The value of a good dashboard lies in its ability to help management make decisions that benefit the corporation.
