DB2 attachment facilities
An attachment facility provides the interface between DB2 and another environment. This section describes the attachment facilities that you can use in the z/OS environment to begin a DB2 session. You can also begin DB2 sessions from other environments on clients such as Windows or UNIX by using interfaces that include ODBC, JDBC, and SQLJ. Figure 3.1 shows the z/OS attachment facilities with interfaces to DB2.
