The wellhead which is the top opening of the drilling borehole and the casing head that is installed at the wellhead, they are collectively referred to casing head and the devices installed above the wellhead which are called wellhead device. We will introduce surface wellheads, underwater wellheads, subsea wellheads, and wellhead devices according to different locations of the wellhead in this section. This section will highlight and give a detailed introduction to subsea wellheads and wellhead devices because subsea wellheads and wellhead devices are specific to offshore oil and gas drilling.
