Safety evaluation is also known as risk evaluation and risk assessment. Risk assessment is based on the risk analysis that is to carry on risk identification for a given department incident of the system, the calculation of the risk probability, and an appraisal of dangerous consequences. Therefore, this section puts forth risk evaluation (risk assessment) and basic risk analysis together, combined with the actual conditions in offshore oil engineering that is to be introduced.
