You’re standing on a ski slope and your friend asks you to hold her ski poles while she unzips her jacket. No problem. You take the poles in your right hand. Then, she asks you to hold her gloves so she can scratch her nose. Those go in your left hand. It sure is warm, so you hold out your arms to hold her hat, backpack, and jacket. She cheerily says, "OK, I’m ready to go," and skis off as you stand there eyeing your load. There’s no way you can ski down the hill. Change requests in projects often have the same sort of effect.
