Our Determination: Stories of Kaizen

The term “kaizen” means “continuous improvement.” It is common language at our plant. Everyone is looking for ways to improve our processes, workplace, and lives. Everyone wonders what the “magic” of Toyota facilities is. It is simply that we are never resting. We are constantly looking at ways to improve. It is embedded in us from day one to always strive for a better way.

This chapter focuses on some of the support members who promote kaizen and also some examples of improvements that have happened within our assembly shop. This constant thinking is the way we can build such a high-quality product and keep it at a similar retail price as our competitors’.
