Our Understanding: What We Have Learned Along the “Toyota Way”

It amazes me what people remember. Some people unfortunately only remember the bad stuff. You can do 100 things right and never hear a “thank you.” Make one mistake and you know the feedback is coming. Each person or manager has his or her own style. This is no different at our company. Even though I am only a team leader, I believe in the idea that for every single negative feedback you have to give a team member, you say ten good things about the work they do and constantly let them know they are appreciated.
