When did 11870.com begin?
Our company was started in 2006 as an initiative of Jesús Encinar and a group of private investors. We launched the community in 2007. During our first week, we were number one in Technorati, the website that tracks blogs. We knocked Britney Spears out of the number one position, and that was right when she had shaved her head.
How do you encourage members to join your community and participate?
The first thing that we provide is a pleasant website, with a clean interface. Our registration process is simple, and three days after registration, a community manager gets in touch with new members to welcome them.
