Some people think the best thing about the Internet is finding, swapping, sampling, or just reading about music. Indeed, the Web, in particular, is a gold mine in a lot of different ways for the lover of music.

When people talk about music on the Web, it's mostly about MP3 files. These are files that can be downloaded to your computer to listen to while you work. They can also be transferred to an MP3 portable player or burned onto a recordable CD disk that can be played anywhere.
