Using Op Amps for Radio frequency Design

7.1 Introduction

Radio frequency (RF) design used to be the exclusive domain of discrete devices. The advent of new generations of high-speed voltage and current feedback op amps has made it possible to use op amps for RF design. Op amp-based RF circuitry is easier to design, and has less risk associated. “Tweaking” in the lab can be almost eliminated.
