Feedback and Stability Theory

Abstract

Real-world considerations of op amps involve, among other things, stability. A lot of designers get into trouble by trying to operate an op amp outside of its stable operating region. A review of feedback theory is applied to op amps and used to show how feedback circuits can become unstable. Bode plots are a useful and simple way of visualizing the stable operating region of op amps.
