Summary

In this chapter, we built a new application to take automatic selfies based on the famous cascade classifier. We've seen what a cascade classifier is built of starting from the type of features used to the adaptive boosting learning algorithm and cascading. You also learned how to initialize and use a multiscale sliding window-based detector with an already trained classifier to detect closed palm hand gestures and use these detections as cues to capture frames from the device's camera.
