This chapter focuses on threats to OE, as adversaries will likely seek to disrupt energy supplies and potentially destroy critical energy infrastructure. First, it will begin with a look at the term “threat” followed by a discussion on the role of threats to energy in military planning. Next, the chapter will present the two overarching categories of threats: deliberate threats and non-deliberate threats.
