Provisioning of Protection Groups
There are several card protection mechanisms for the ONS 15454 SDH. When you set up protection for ONS 15454 SDH cards, you must select between maximum protection and maximum slot availability. The highest protection reduces the number of available card slots, whereas the highest slot availability reduces the protection. Table 10-3 shows the protection types that can be set up for ONS 15454 SDH cards.
