Load Balance Scheduling for Cloud Data Centers
This chapter introduces online load balance scheduling for Cloud data centers. One of the challenging scheduling problems in Cloud data centers is the allocation and migration of reconfigurable virtual machines and integrated features of hosting physical machines. We first propose an online resource scheduling algorithm (OLRSA), which considers real-time and multidimensional resource scheduling. Besides OLRSA, a Lowest Integrated-load First Algorithm (LIF) is also introduced. Performance evaluation of both algorithms against other existing algorithms is provided by simulation.
