Abstract

The change in climate is a pressing global challenge, with significant impacts on the environment, economy, and society. To mitigate these impacts, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) are being used to develop new strategies for climate change adaptation and mitigation. This paper provides a comparative analysis of two case studies that leverage AI for these purposes: drought prediction and carbon dioxide capture. AI can also be used in climate change modeling by predicting future climate trends and simulating the effects caused by climate change on ecosystems and society. However, the use of AI in climate change modeling poses several challenges and limitations, such as the need for accurate data and concerns related to ethics and responsibility. The paper presents a comparative analysis of two case studies: drought prediction and carbon dioxide capture. The study demonstrates the potential of AI to support climate change adaptation efforts by predicting drought conditions and informing water management strategies. The study also highlights the challenges associated with the implementation of AI-based carbon dioxide capture systems, such as high costs and technical limitations. To effectively ...
