In the previous section, we examined how Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V can be used to implement a solution that provides multitenancy, the ability of a cloud infrastructure to support virtual machine workloads of multiple tenants in a secure fashion. While enterprise customers usually want to build private clouds and transition to an IT-as-a-service operational mode, hosting providers want to build public clouds and offer Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions to their customers.
