We expect history will ultimately record the introduction of ETFs as important an addition to the investment landscape as the introduction of options, futures, or mutual funds. Already a part of mainstream investing and still rapidly growing, ETFs are supplanting both individual stocks and mutual funds in many investment portfolios and adding numerous bonds, commodities, and foreign indexes that were previously unavailable.
