Oracle 9iR2 to 10g R2 RAC

In this two-part section, the various steps to be taken when upgrading an Oracle 9i Release 2 (9i R2) RAC environment configured on OCFS to an Oracle 10g Release 2 (10g R2) RAC configured on ASM are detailed. In the first part, we discuss a basic upgrade to Oracle Database 10g Release 2 and, subsequently in the second part, we discuss how the data can be migrated from OCFS to Oracle ASM.
