Step 7: Use the Wizard to Build the Portlet

As mentioned in the preceding step, you can build two types of portlets with the Portal Add-in Wizard for Oracle JDeveloper: a portlet based on the Oracle PDK or a portlet based on the JSR 168 standard. The following two sections deal with each of these methods.

Building an Oracle PDK-Based Portlet

By choosing this option, developers can quickly build a portlet that has access to all features included in the Oracle Portal Development Kit.
