Step 9: Establish a Connection to an Application Server

Oracle JDeveloper gives developers the ability to deploy directly to an application server without having to build and transport the various files needed for a typical deployment. To establish a connection to the application server, follow these steps:

1. Under Connections, right-click and select New Application Server Connection. Click the Connections tab in the middle left of the screen to display the Connections Navigator. Right-click Application Server and select New Application Server Connection from the drop-down box.
