Performing a Smart Export/Smart Import

Up until version of ODI, exporting and importing objects presented a particular challenge: the management of dependencies. When importing an object, the developers had to make sure that all dependent objects were in place before the object itself was imported. For instance, before importing an interface, models and KMs referenced by that interface had to already be in place. But what if they had not been exported along with the interface?
