Work with Oracle Data Pump Import

You’ve successfully performed exports and they seem to have worked, but that’s only half of the job. You now need to perform the ultimate test of whether those exports worked by performing Data Pump Imports.

Imports are performed using the impdp command that is new with Oracle Database 10g. As with Data Pump Export, this utility has similar functionality with the import utility found in pre–Oracle Database 10g versions, but this is a brand new utility. There are five modes for performing the Oracle Data Pump Import.
