So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Oracle XML DB Security
In Oracle Database 11g, Access Control List (ACL)–based security is set up to prevent unauthorized data access and operations. The ACLs are specified in XML files called ACL files that are stored in the Oracle XML DB Repository. These ACL files include a list of object-level restrictions, called access control entities (ACEs), which are set up based on database users or roles, the database resources, and operations. In this section, we will discuss how to use ACLs to manage users’ access to XML DB Repository resources and enable the access to external network services.
