Importing and Exporting XML with Data Pump
Oracle database export and import utilities are useful to back up XMLType tables and columns. However, export and import can’t back up XML DB Repository data and its metadata, nor can they back up the XML DB management data, such as the registered XDB schemas, even in a full database export. Therefore, the utilities can only be used for XMLType table export/import.
