CHAPTER 13Oracle Grid Control
It has been six months since we implemented 11g Release 2 Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard for LunarTrax’s database. So far, we have exceeded our goal of 99.999 percent availability, thanks to our Oracle MAA configuration and the implementation of features such as Role-Based Services. We even applied the latest patchset update (PSU) to our database last month without any downtime whatsoever. With the performance and scalability of Oracle RAC, we were easily able to support the rapidly growing business of LunarTrax, and thanks to that logical standby, Max is happily running reports.
