Data Partitioning
Data segment partitioning has been available in Oracle since version 8. The benefits of data partitioning are well known to users, and many large databases have reaped rich rewards by implementing the many schemes introduced in each successive release of the Oracle server. (Note that partitioning requires Oracle Enterprise Edition, which is an extra cost option.)
