Implementing In-Memory

In Chapter 2 you learned about the architecture and various components of Database In-Memory. This chapter will take a deeper dive into those features and how to implement them. Because the In-Memory Column Store (IMCS) is embedded in Oracle Database, it is fully compatible with all existing features and requires absolutely no changes in the application layer. Any application that runs against the Oracle Database will transparently benefit from the IMCS.
