Performing a Quick System Review (DBA)
Oracle 12c introduced many new features that can be leveraged for automatic tuning. While some DBAs are great at planning and implementing a new version, fewer are good at evaluating and effectively implementing the new features that will help their system. In 12c, you now have to consider pluggable databases (PDBs, introduced in Chapter 3) and how to leverage an additional In-Memory (IM; see Chapter 4) column store (if licensed).
