Adding History Tracking
Based on Internet searches, one of the most needed libraries for AJAX applications is an easy-to-use, cross-browser way of enabling the back and forward buttons in the browser. If no tracking is added to an AJAX application, when the user clicks the back button thinking that they will be taken back one subpage, they are actually taken out of the application. This is true of all browsers since no history entries are created in any of them for direct AJAX calls.
The shock and annoyance of possibly having to log in and/or go back to the subpage they were on causes the user to be fearful and timid, and thus shy away from using such an application. The ill will caused by this is one of the reasons that fewer AJAX applications ...
