Tracking and Using Login State on the Client
Chapter 9 introduced the JavaScript Session object and its API. In that chapter the JavaScript Session object was used to track the current active state of the application. Specifically it tracked whether the URL or subpage was being updated. By tracking these states and other variables such as flags and other data in the client session, they no longer need to be scattered throughout the application.
