Oracle PL/SQL Block Structure
PL/SQL was developed by modeling the concepts of structured programming, static data typing, modularity, exception management, and parallel processing found in the ADA programming language. The ADA programming language was developed for the United States Department of Defense and was designed to support military real-time and safety-critical embedded systems, like airplanes and missiles. The ADA language borrowed significant syntax from the Pascal programming language, like the assignment and comparison operators and single-quote string delimiters.
