So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Migrating Oracle Databases with Export/Import
One of the most basic and simplest tools for performing data migrations is Export/Import. The Export/Import tools have gone through several iterations, but all versions essentially perform the same function: extract data from an Oracle database into a binary file, known as the dump file, and load that data into an Oracle database. Legacy Export/Import has evolved into Data Pump Export/Import, but they are essentially the same function, though the latter has some major enhancements. These tools can move data from one database to another but can perform only minor transformations.
