Welcome to the chapter dedicated to Discoverer portlets. If you have never used Oracle Portal with any of Discoverer’s portlets, you should take a look. In this chapter we will first of all describe Oracle Portal and then introduce you to the three portlets made available with Discoverer. Following this we will show you how to use Portal to administer the Discoverer portlets by setting up the Discoverer Portlet Provider (DPP). With the DPP in place and working, we will show you how to publish a Discoverer portlet to Portal. Once it is published, you need to configure the portlet to make it work.
