This appendix explains several database concepts. We begin by explaining the difference between traditional schemas, relational schemas, and star schemas. During the discussion on relational schemas, we give you an introduction to the techniques known as normalization and denormalization. Following this, we will take a look at the use of Discoverer with the Oracle E-Business Suite.
