he architecture of Oracle EBS has evolved through four generations: terminal emulation, client server, network computing, and finally the Internet Computing architecture. The differences among them are evident, from the user interface through to the back-end processing. In their style and use of infrastructure, the network, and computing hardware, each reflected a phase in the evolution of corporate computing, in particular the evolution of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
