Infrastructure Monitoring
Infrastructure monitoring is really outside of Oracle E-Business Suite, but it would be stupid of me not to explain some of the typical monitoring activities that need to occur. I have not gone into great detail concerning vendor-specific topology and monitoring methods. This section provides details of the important elements within the infrastructure that need to be monitored.
Port Scanning/Access
Oracle E-Business Suite, when deployed to the Internet, is accessed normally via port 80 (HTTP) or port 443 (HTTPS). Some hackers may use port scanning to see if any additional ports are open and accessible.
