APPENDIX GAcronyms
If you read any kind of technical document these days, you’ll notice that it is literally filled with abbreviations and acronyms. Although many of them will sound familiar, and might even be used daily in “casual computer conversation,” it’s still amazing just how many of these things do creep into technical documentation. And for some, they have become so commonplace that we don’t even realize that they are in fact an acronym. To clarify this point, and to give a reference of all these abbreviations used in this book, this list has been compiled.
