An administrator might feel blind if nobody is getting alerts about a critical problem that happened on a server. Unattended problems do have a tendency to grow to such proportions that they can create problems and outages that could have been prevented. It’s all about getting notified about what is happening in the enterprise: If some event has the ability to cripple an application or a machine, people need to know about it way before it reaches that danger level. And this is where notifications come into the picture. Based on rules defined by the administrator, messages can be sent out in response to an event that Enterprise Manager registered.
